The First Burn: Light the wick across its entire width. Let it burn until the wax melts all the way to the glass edges (approx 2-3 hours) to prevent tunnelling.

The "Pinch": Before re-lighting, the wick must be short (3-4mm). Simply pinch off the black charred wood with your fingers once the candle is cool. This ensures a clean burn and the best crackle.
